Gabriel Bryan Rogers

Hey all,

Just wanted to let you know that Gabriel Bryan Rogers was born yesterday (4/06/07) at 1:59 pm. He weighed 4 lbs and is 17.25 inches long. He is totally breathing on his own and is doing well. He will be at St Vincents for about 2-3 weeks and then he will get to come home. Jen is doing well and is resting as she recovers from her c-section. We will be here in the hospital for about 5 days give or take...

I will post pics as soon as I can.

Prayer Request for Bryan & Jen

Hi alll, I just wanted to share a prayer request with you..

Jen went to a class at Providence hospital last night and could barely walk out of it....

Her mom suggested that they go up to emergency and have her checked out. Her blood pressure was super high... Something like 180 over 120 something... It took 4 hours for it to come back down, she didn't come home until around 1:30am. The doctor wanted to put her on bed rest right away for the rest of the time, but Jen feels like she would be more stressed if she couldn't work. SO he agreed to let her be on bed rest this weekend including today (she is staying over at Julie's on the couch right now) and then go back to work on Monday. However, they are planning on monitoring her very closely and if it looks like it is going to go back up they are probably going to put her on bed rest which means we will be without her income for about 5 months. She is at 30 weeks right now and the doctor wants to get her to at least 35 weeks. He is looking at seeing if we will need to go to a specialist at Emmanuel instead of having him deliver our baby. If our ODS insurance doesn't cover going to Emmanuel then we will have to go to St Vincent's all the way out here in Beaverton.

I know God has a plan for us and he knows our financial needs. I trust he will take care of us. I am not doubting him, but it is a scary situation. I wish I could see it from his "top down" perspective and with his ability to know where the path will wind...

Filter[7] could end up being a really big thing and maybe that is what he has for us... Please pray....

QUESTIONS

Alright gang, here is your chance to ask questions that you feel like you haven't had a chance to ask in youth group. Or even use this to propose topics that you feel need to be discussed or would like a chance to discuss in youth group... why should I love my neighbor, what does communion have to do with our faith, is God real, how do I deal with my family, etc....

I will try and respond within the post, but remember I am basically getting a feeling for what you guys think would be valuable to discuss in youth group.
